Stardust

Caroline Kronenberg, Stardust, 2019, Carbon, Glass, 60cm x 18cm x 10cm

Stardust was created in response of an invitation to a group exhibition titled “The Selfie”.  Selfies, with the help of technology, have become a popular document of our moment in time and space. It is intended to highlight our differences or uniqueness. Often filters or editing tools are used to mask flaws before the picture is shared on social media.

Kronenberg’s work contradicts this notion, in a search for commonality by linking humanity to nature, a connection between the cosmos and our own existence.

“The cosmos is within us. We are made of stars”. Carl Sagan
