Caroline’s time in Ne-Na Artspace was spent focusing on the theme of life-cycles inspired by Supha Bee farm in Chiang Rai, as well as all the beautiful seed pods she found on her walks. The bamboo sculptures created here, with the help of the very skilled local workers have a lifecycle and lifespan of their own. The bamboo in these creations were given a new life and the shadows they cast are yet another reincarnated form of the original.
Lifecycles may be viewed at either a universal or singular level. Everything is constantly changing. A reminder that we are all part of the forces of nature and subject to them no matter what our background or beliefs.
