Shadows
Shadows was created while the artist was in residency at Ne-Na art Space in Chiang Mai, Thailand investigating the theme “lifecycles”.
Kronenberg worked with local Bamboo masters who wove the designs she had drawn, inspired by local seed pods.
The 5 bamboo sculptures themselves were intriguing, but were found to cast a haunting shadow. These shadows were captured as an extension of the sculptures, a memory or afterlife of the original.
